Open Community ArticlesDraft first, review carefully, then publish when it is ready.

Have these ready

  • One specific buyer question you can answer clearly
  • A useful title that tells the reader what they will learn
  • A 750 × 400 pixel image if you want a featured image
  • Three to five search terms that describe the article

Step by step

From idea to published article

The screenshots use The Ultimate Agency as a Founding Member example. Your article count, available credits, and listing details may be different.

Open Community Articles

Sign in to your dashboard and select Community Articles in the left menu. This page shows every draft and published article connected to your listing.

Select New Community Article to start a new post.

The number beside Community Articles shows how many posts are connected to the account. A No Image placeholder means the draft does not have a featured image yet.

Keep the article private while you work

Leave Publish set to No while drafting. When you select Save Changes, the article will be stored as a draft and will not appear publicly.

Draft is the safest starting pointYou can return to the article, improve the writing, add an image, and check the details before buyers see it.

Selecting No keeps the article in draft status when you save it.

Add the title, category, tags, and image

Write a specific title that promises a clear answer. Choose the category that best describes the content, then add relevant Smart Tags separated by commas. Tags should describe the buyer’s problem and the technology involved, not your company name repeated in different ways.

A featured image is optional, but it helps the article look complete when it appears with other content. Prepare a clean 750 × 400 pixel image, select Upload An Image, choose the file, and confirm that the preview appears before saving.

The image should support the topic, remain clear at a smaller size, and avoid tiny text that will be difficult to read.

Write and format the article

Start with the problem, organize the answer with short headings, and keep paragraphs easy to scan. The formatting toolbar is the best choice for most articles. Use it to create headings, bullet points, links, and bold emphasis without needing to write code.

A simple article structure

  1. Open with the situation Explain the buyer question in two or three sentences
  2. Give the answer Use three to five clear steps, checks, or decisions
  3. Add context Explain what can change the answer or what the reader should watch for
  4. Offer a next step Invite the reader to contact you without turning the article into a sales pitch

Code View is an optional advanced toolUse Code View when you need to check or clean up basic HTML. Keep it simple with headings, paragraphs, bold emphasis, bullet lists, links, and horizontal dividers. Avoid custom fonts, colors, complicated layouts, scripts, and embedded code that could display poorly on different screens.

Save the draft and review it

Select Save Changes with Publish set to No. Confirm that the green Community Article Saved message appears, then return to the Community Articles page to verify that the post is labeled Draft.

Open the draft again and proofread the title, first paragraph, headings, links, image, and final call to action.

Publish when the article is ready

When your review is complete, open the draft, set Publish to Yes, and select Save Changes. The article will become publicly viewable on TechnologyAdvisor.com.

After publishing, select View Post and read the public version once more. Check the image crop, headings, links, spacing, and the way the article appears on a phone.

Publishing is the public stepOnly choose Yes after the content is accurate, useful, and ready to represent your business.

Article ideas

Start with questions buyers already ask

Choose a narrow topic you can answer honestly from experience. One useful answer is stronger than a broad article that tries to cover everything.

Before-you-buy checklists

Explain what a buyer should gather, compare, or verify before choosing a service or renewing a contract.

Common mistakes

Show buyers the avoidable problems you see and what they can do differently.

Plain-language explainers

Translate a confusing technology, contract term, or risk into practical business language.

Decision frameworks

Help buyers compare options by fit, cost, terms, support, risk, and the work involved in changing.

Final check

Would a buyer trust this article

Run through this short review before changing Publish to Yes.

The title clearly says what the reader will learn.

The first paragraph gets to the buyer’s problem quickly.

Headings make the answer easy to scan.

Claims are accurate and do not promise a guaranteed result.

Links and contact information go to the right place.

The final next step is helpful, specific, and low pressure.

Strengthen your listing

Use the listing completion guide to make sure the profile behind your article is ready for interested buyers.
